NVMe is the latest and greatest form of flash storage that businesses and consumers are using to store and access data. NVMe-based flash storage is the new protocol, expected to replace SAS and SATA protocols that had themselves replaced the spinning disks found in hard drives.
SAS and SATA are not able to fully take advantage of the benefits of flash storage. NVMe, or non-volatile memory express, was developed so solid state drives could achieve an even higher level of performance.
While NVMe storage is superior to hard drives, there is no standard in SSD production. If your SSD technology has failed, you need to find a data recovery service that has special experience dealing with flash memory.
Unlike hard drives, where a data recovery specialist could apply the lessons they learned from one device to another, extracting data from a SSD is a unique, highly intricate process that requires significant expertise.
